(Q.3) Write a Letter to the Editor about Pollution Caused by use of Plastic Bags:
Ans.
To,
The Editor,
The Statesman,
Kolkata, 0000001,
Subject: Addressing Pollution Caused by the use of Plastic Bags:
Sir/Madam,
Through the columns of your esteemed newspaper, I wish to bring attention to the grave issue of pollution caused by the rampant use of plastic bags.
Plastic bags are non-biodegradable, and their excessive use has led to severe environmental problems. They clog drains, pollute water bodies, and harm wildlife when ingested. Burning plastic releases toxic gases, further contributing to air pollution. Despite awareness campaigns, the dependence on plastic bags continues due to their convenience and low cost.
It is essential for authorities to enforce a strict ban on single-use plastics and promote alternatives like cloth or jute bags. Public awareness campaigns and incentives for businesses adopting eco-friendly practices are equally crucial.
Let us work together to protect our environment for future generations by reducing the use of plastic bags.
Yours sincerely,

Subject: Concern Over Growing Addiction to Mobile Phones and Social Media:
Respected Sir/Madam,
Through the columns of your esteemed newspaper, I wish to express my concern about the rising addiction to mobile phones and social media, particularly among the youth.
While mobile phones and social media platforms have transformed communication and information-sharing, their overuse is now causing serious problems. Excessive screen time is leading to health issues like poor eyesight, lack of sleep, and increased stress levels. It is also affecting academic performance, productivity, and social relationships. Many people, especially teenagers, spend hours scrolling through social media, becoming disconnected from real-life interactions.
To address this issue, awareness campaigns should highlight the dangers of excessive usage. Schools and families can encourage healthy habits, such as limited screen time and engaging in outdoor activities. Individuals should also practice digital detox to maintain a balanced lifestyle.
It is crucial to act now to prevent this addiction from further impacting society.
Yours sincerely,
