Irregular clearance of garbage of your locality:
Ans.
To,
The Editor,
The statesman,
Kolkata-0000007,
Sub. Irregular clearance of garbage:
Sir,
Through your esteemed daily, I would like to express my concern about
irregular clearance of garbage in my locality that has made the lives of the
people living here unbearable. The environment of the locality has become
unhygienic. The garbage bins and the pavements are overflowing with heaps of
waste. The uncollected garbage is left to rot and air is filled with foul
smell. This is also creating health hazards. The locality has become a breeding
ground of mosquitoes and flies that spread diseases like cholera and malaria.
If measures are not immediately taken for regular removal of garbage in the
area, then the spread of diseases might rise to alarming proportions.
I would therefore, on behalf of the residents of the locality, request the authorities to arrange for regular disposal of garbage.
Thanking you,
Yours sincerely’

Sub. Reckless
Driving
Sir,
I shall be
highly thankful to you if you kindly offer me a little space in your widely
circulated Newspaper for drawing the attention of the Gov. or the authorities
to the following fact that the drivers madly try to overtake other vehicles and
collide with one another. This endangers the lives of innocent pedestrians.
Accidents are mainly caused by reckless driving. There are police
regulations and penalties for reckless driving but they are not properly enforced.
It is high time
for the concerned authorities or the gov.to take all the necessary steps for
the solution to the problem mentioned above.
Thanking you.
Yours
sincerely’

Sub. : Thoughtless Use of Microphones:
Sir,
I shall be highly thankful to you if you kindly offer me a little space in your widely circulated Newspaper for drawing the attention of the Gov. or the authorities concerned to the thoughtless use of microphones.
Recently microphones are desperately used during functions and festivals. The organisers do not pay heed to our request to tune down the volume. It disturbs the students and the aged persons as well as the patients. The local administration is different to our complains.
It is high time for the concerned authorities or the gov.to take all the necessary steps for the solution to the problem mentioned above.
Thanking you.
