Q.1.        Write a dialogue within 100 words on the need to ban the use of animals like Tigers and Lions as circus attractions.

Ans.

Jamal:  Kamal,  have you seen the Gemini Circus in the park circus Maidan recently?

            Kamal : Yes, I went to see the circus in the last Sunday afternoon. It was very amusing to me.

            Jamal : Have you noticed the condition of the tigers and lions in the cage. They were thin and they had scars in their body.

            Kamal : yes I noticed that.

              Jamal : I presume surely they are illtreated and well fed.

            Kamal : of course it is. In the entire world the wild animals are decreasing rapidly.

              Jamal : It is a criminal offence to treat the animals badly in the circus area. There is wildlife protection   act in our country.

                  Kamal : Yes, I agree with you. It is a criminal offence to illtreat the animals like tigers and lions.

              Jamal : We should be humane to animals and it is high time for the government to enforce the law strictly to stop this practice.

             Kamal : Let us start a movement in this regard.

             Q. 2. Write a story within 100 words using the given hints. Give a title to the story:

                   HINTS: returning from educational excursion by bus-----night journey---sudden breakdown---tyres        punctured----wait 2 hours—tyre fixed----back home

Ans.                  Title : The awesome bus journey:

                               

                                Last  Saturday we had an educational excursion to Darjeeling by bus. We were                thirty students in all of class ix. Our class teacher of history also was with us. On Sunday we were      returning by the bus at night. It was a dark night. The bus was moving fast. But due to bad road             condition the bus suddenly broke down and the tyres punctured with a loud sound. We were at a loss.     There was no one either side in the dark night at around 1 a.m. The driver and his helper told us not to fear. They started the repairing work. It took around two hours to replace the damaged tyre. At around 3 a.m. the tyre was fixed  and the bus began to move slowly. At last our awesome journey ended when we reached our homes safely in the early morning. 

    Q.3. Write a paragraph withen 100 words On How to Make Paper:

Ans         MAKING OF PAPER

            Paper is a very useful thing in our daily life. It is prepared through many stages. At first bamboos are bought from the market. Then they are cut into small pieces. The bamboo pieces are made into a pulp through boiling in water. After that some chemicals are added with the pulp to make it soft. Then the pulp is put into machine for rolling to make it into separate sheets. Then colour is added according to the need. Then the rolled pulp is kept in the sun or put into the machine for drying. The dry sheets are now ready for use and to sell in the market.

                    

              Q. . Suppose you had bought a book from a book store.

                By mistake you left it there. So, write a letter to the owner of the

                 store to find the book and keep it until you to collect it.

Q.4. Write a paragraph withen 100 words on How you plan to take care of street dogs.

Ans.

            Street  dogs  are menace to our society. They are always ill-treated. The people do not hesitate to take cruel actions against the street dogs as they make the pavements dirty and sometimes bite people  when severely disturbed. People often beat them severely even to death. The behavior is inhuman and it is necessary to look after the street dogs with sympathy and care. They are many kennels in Kolkata. The Kolkata municipal corporation has a department to look after them. There are staff and cars to capture the street dogs and to keep them in safety. They should be kept in a safe place.  It is our duty to show some sympathy and care to the street dogs.

Ans .      Annie Besant, the  Famouse British writer, was born on 1^st of October  in 1847 in London. She was well known to us as a social activist who fought for the rights of the women. She took part in the Indian politics actively. She joined National congress to fight against the British in the freedom movement. She became the first woman president of the Indian National Congress in the year 1917. She passed away on 20^th of September in the year 1933 in Madres, India. We are proud of her.

    Q.7. Write a letter to the headmaster of your school within 100 words seeking leave for three days to visit your ailing grandmother:

Dear Maya,

        I am quite well and hope you are also the same. I am extremely very glad to go through your letter. In this you have expressed your curiosity to know about my experience of visiting a Wild Life Sanctuary. Here it is for you.

Last October, I went to somenath with my parents. From there I visited the Gir Wildlife Sanctuary by car. We reached the spot at 3 p. m. We boarded a bus with net to enter the forest. It was half an hour joutney with a guide of the forest. The bus stopped in a place. We saw three lions were taking rest in the Sun after their lunch perhaps. At first I was in fear. But later I came to know that we were protected in the bus. The lions were big in size. Even they did not pay heed to us. We stayed at around 15 minutes. After we saw many  birds, deer, buffaloes, and cows, in the open area. I shall never forget this experience.
